University of Warwick

The University of Warwick is one of the UK’s top five universities with a world class reputation for research and teaching, as well as in entrepreneurial and community engagement.

Warwick Arts Centre is the largest performance and visual arts complex of its kind in the UK outside London.

The National Academy for Gifted and Talented Youth (NAGTY) is based at the University of Warwick. Their remit is to drive forward improvements in gifted and talented education and is the core partner for the DfES in this area of work.

The University of Warwick is located on the border of the Coventry and Warwickshire, providing easy access to the major city of Birmingham, and the beautiful historic towns of Warwick, Kenilworth, Royal Leamington Spa and Stratford-upon-Avon.

The Russell Partnership was appointed by University of Warwick originally in 1997 to carry out a strategic review of catering services provided across a 500 acre campus for 17,500 staff and students. This involved the creation of an initial customer led catering strategy.

Since then we have been commissioned to create and develop a Commercial Review of Catering, a commercial plan for the next five years. This commission included internal qualitative and quantitative research, space planning, and business modelling and concept development.

In addition Kitchen, Restaurant & Servery design, recruitment and training of key personnel followed in a total operational restructuring exercise. The partnership have also been commissioned to undertake a Food Production Review, plus a new conference / exhibition Building Feasibility.

David Russell was appointed to the University Advisory Board to provide commercial and industry expertise.
