...It's been a busy month on and off the archery field. Caitlin's coach Harry Heeley and the Archery GB coaches are really impressed with Caitlin's development in her shot technique, her physical development from the strength and conditioning work and the results achieved.

At the Oxford University competition Caitlin improved her single and double Portsmouth PB's improving on the Club and County records she set in February (the two single scores were 548 and 547 giving a new double PB of 1095)...

...Caitlin continued to shoot good rounds in practice at the club and on the last night of practice at the club she pushed her Portsmouth PB up to 565 (almost 100 up on what she was scoring in December 2011).

Other Activities
Caitlin and her mum really enjoyed and got a lot out of Prof. Russell's lecture up in Sheffield - Thank You - all of our diets have been slowly changing since...

...On 2nd March Caitlin was invited to the Stratford District Sports Awards as one of the finalists in the Junior Sports Person category, she ended up as a runner up to a GB Junior Speed skater. She had a great evening, met a couple of Olympians and had a photo taken with David Moorcroft OBE.

Caitlin has been selected by Lloyds TSB to join their Local Heroes programme for 2012-13. Caitlin attended the Lloyds TSB Local Hero's 2012 Launch workshops with 187 other athletes (www.facebook.com/lloydstsblondon2012)...

...Highlights were a trip round the Olympic park, dinner with Derek Redmond, a photo with the Paralympic Torch and getting to borrow Leon Taylor's Athens 2004 Silver Medal.

As the weather improves Caitlin will begin shooting and competing outdoors though April and May will be quieter in terms of competing than usual as she revises for and takes her GCSE exams.
