Russell Partnership Consulting was commissioned to deliver strategic lead and guidance on the tender process for all of British Airways’ UK airside lounges, including the initial scoping, quality service audits, preparation of tender documentation, briefing of bidders, developing evaluation criteria and scoring matrices.
The outcome was the construction of contract specifications, schedules and key performance indicators to manage the future contract, evaluation of bids submitted for the food and beverage operations and support on the appointment of the final operator, and finally the appointment of the mobilisation team to deliver the project.
This process created an independent framework for a consistent and measured bid approach that has led to the correct fit of operator aligned with the key strategic objectives important to British Airways. The partnership is an ongoing success.
