The Guoman Cumberland Hotel in Central London is a substantial ultra-modern hotel.
Built in the 1930s, it is one of London’s biggest hotels with more than 1,000 bedrooms, six restaurants and bars, one of which is the flagship Rhodes restaurant, and 26 meeting and conference rooms. The hotel overlooks two iconic London landmarks: Marble Arch and Hyde Park.
Russell Partnership Collection were commission to mobilise the new food and beverage operation, including the Gary Rhodes restaurant, Bistro and Bar, conference proposition banqueting and in-room dining. We developed comprehensive specifications, managed the mobilisation and supported recruitment, specified the roles, sourced the shortlist and appointed the team, for the launch of the Guoman brand on behalf of Compass.
The mobilisation was completed on time and to a recognised high quality. The team were well trained and briefed and this resulted in a successful opening and continued quality operation.
