The University of Sheffield is widely recognised as a leading research and teaching university in the UK and in the world. The Times Higher Education Student Experience Survey 2014 ranked the University of Sheffield 1st for student experience, social life, university facilities and accommodation, among other categories. The university had more than 27,000 students with annual income of just under £500 million.
Russell Partnership Collection’s relationship with the University has stretched over 15 years and a wide group of stakeholders. Russell Partnership Collection first supported Sheffield with the mobilisation of the new student village, including two dining and drinking facilities, and a comprehensive strategic review. As a result of this review and the development of commercial activity, it was necessary to establish a new operating structure for the commercial team. Russell Partnership Collection identified the requirement for new posts and supported the strategy to introduce external commercial expertise.
